Car Wash Recommendations

Not sure where to start? We’re here to help!

We were far from experts when we got started in the car wash business. We know that the almost dozen wash options can feel excessive, or even overwhelming. So, we’re here to help! On this page you’ll find recommendations and answers to questions we hope will help you get the most out of washing with us.

What order should you use the Wash Options in?

We recommend using all wash options, in the order they’re listed. They have been formulated to give you the best, longest lasting wash.

We start with Prepping the vehicle:

1. Mag/Bug Remover

2. Tire & Engine

Then we Clean the vehicle:

3. Presoak

4. High-Pressure Wash

5. Foam Brush

6. High-Pressure Rinse

Next, we Shine and Protect the vehicle:

7. Triple Foam Clear Coat Conditioner

8. Wax

We finish with a Rinse to dry spot-free:

9. Spot-Free Rinse

What are the benefits to using both Presoak and High-Pressure Wash?

Presoak and High-Pressure Wash apply soap to your vehicle in two unique ways. Presoak applies soap in a higher concentration and at lower pressure than the High-Pressure Wash. What’s the benefit? Similar to soaking your kitchen pots and pans, the Presoak breaks down the dirt and residue so it is easier to remove when apply the pressure in the High-Pressure Wash step. For that reason, Presoak should always be used before High-Pressure Rinse. The combination of the two wash options leaves your vehicle cleaner than either individually.

Presoak and High-Pressure Wash are currently available at Denver North, Longmont North, and Longmont South.

What is Spot Free Rinse?

Spot free rinse is reverse osmosis treated water. The reverse osmosis process removes all the contaminations from the water. Instead of the water droplets drying on the car with particles, leading to spotting, it beads together and runs off the vehicle. An added bonus is that Spot Free Rinse lets you skip wiping down the vehicle. As you drive home, you will notice that your car has completely dried itself and, as the name implies, is spot free!

Spot Free Rinse is currently available at Denver North. It will be available by Fall 2022 at Longmont North and Longmont South.

What is Triple Foam Clear Coat Conditioner?

This step is probably the most fun (and the least understood) in all of the car wash options. It goes on in a fancy display of colors and high amounts of foam, but it also serves an important purpose. It is a conditioning treatment for the clear coat of the vehicle. After all the dirt and grime have been removed with wash options like Presoak, High Pressure Wash, and the Foam Brush, the Clear Coat Conditioner is applied directly to the clear coat. In our experience, it’s this step that leaves your car shining for days to come.

Triple Foam Clear Coat Conditioner is currently available at Denver North. It will be available by Fall 2022 at Longmont North and Longmont South.

What wash options should you use for a Quick Wash?

Let’s say you’re pressed for time or your car just needs a “rinse”. These are the wash options we recommend for a Quick Wash:

  1. Pre-Soak

  2. High-Pressure Wash

  3. Foam Brush (can skip if you prefer a touch-free wash)

  4. High-Pressure Rinse

  5. Spot Free

This quick wash will remove the dirt from your vehicle. You’re saving time by skipping the shine and protect wash options like Triple Foam Clear Coat Conditioner and Wax. We always recommend finishing your wash with Spot Free Rinse, because it will allow the vehicle to dry spotless without the elbow grease required.

What is important to know about washing in the Summer?

Bug Remover is the key to a good summer wash. Did you know that dead bugs can eat through your car’s paint job if left for too long? Bug Remover will be your first wash option, then we recommend following with:

  1. Bug Remover

  2. Tire and Engine

  3. Presoak

  4. High-Pressure Wash

  5. Foam Brush (can skip if you prefer a touch-free wash)

  6. High Pressure Rinse

  7. Triple Foam Conditioner

  8. Wax

  9. Spot Free

How often should you wash your car?

According to auto.howstuffworks.com, most experts recommend washing your car every two weeks throughout the year. In Colorado, you need to wash more frequently during winter snow season because of the salt on roads; salt can corrode the metal on your vehicle and cause rust. If you have dead bugs, bird droppings, or tree sap, you want to wash off promptly because the acid can eat through your car’s paint job if it’s left for too long.

It’s important to think of washing your car as part of good vehicle maintenance, just like regular oil changes and tire rotations. Your vehicle is a big investment, don’t miss this important step in maintaining it’s value and appearance!
